Rixos opens new luxury resort in Egypt’s historic Alexandria
Rixos Montaza Alexandria officially opened in January 2025 in one of Egypt’s most historically rich regions. In its first phase, the resort introduced the Salamlek Palace, a restored architectural icon, and the King Fouad Lodges, designed to provide an exclusive retreat for guests. The property combines historic grandeur with modern amenities, reinforcing Rixos’ reputation for luxury.
Future phases will see the resort expand its offerings with additional experiences aimed at enhancing its appeal as a premier Mediterranean destination. The Salamlek Palace offers 18 suites and rooms, including the Royal Suite originally designed for Khedive Abbas Helmy II and his family. It features fine dining offering Royal Table – 1892 as well as à la carte options at La Comtesse as well as a spa.
The King Fouad Lodges features 80 seafront lodges with private terraces, direct beach access, and access to an exclusive Beach Club. The resort offers 326 rooms, suites, and villas, alongside 31 bungalows, designed to cater to different needs, from private escapes to family getaways. There are also 152 club rooms & suites with offering various dining options.
