Egypt, Morocco Receive Support for Regional Biomanufacturing Center
In partnership with Morocco, Egypt will establish a regional biomanufacturing hub for North Africa.
On Saturday, Egyptian State Information Service reported that Egypt secured support to establish the regional hub with the support of Morocco.
The approval reportedly came after Cairo received support from the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
"The selection of Egypt as the headquarters for the Regional Center for Capacity Building in Biomanufacturing (RCCN), in partnership with Morocco, follows the approval of Egypt's proposal," the news agency said.
The Unified Procurement Authority, under the Egyptian Vaccine Manufacturers Alliance, submitted the bid.
