Ezz-Elsewedy Automotive has launched a $50 million Proton car assembly plant in Egypt, advancing local manufacturing.

Ezz Elsewedy Automotive Factories (ESAF), a joint venture between Ezz Elarab and Elsewedy Capital, is advancing its automotive manufacturing complex project in the 6th October Industrial Zone. In the first quarter of 2025, ESAF commenced assembly of the Proton Saga, a model by Malaysian automaker Proton, in the 70,000-square-meter complex, confirmed Hisham Ezz Alarab, Chairman of Ezz Elarab Group.
