Meeting on IT utilisation in Cairo

The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in a regional meeting on Utilisation of Information Technology in e-Training of Educational Departments in Remote Areas, organised by the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO), which begins here today.

As many as 40 experts in information and communications technology and e-learning and officials from higher education departments in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Sudan, Tunisia, Algeria, Bahrain and Egypt will take part in the meeting.

The meeting aims at discussing the developed methods of utilising information technology in e-training of educational departments in remote areas in the member states starting from identifying the benefits of information and communication technology.
