Egypt ranked 94th out of 140 countries in Global Competitiveness ranked by the World Economic Forum.
Compared to last year where Egypt ranked 94 out of 135 countries, Egypt improved on many aspects including innovation, legal procedures for settling disputes, cost of starting a business is now lower besides the major advantage of its market size.
Egypt scored low on macroeconomic stability due to inflation, on labor force skill as well female participation in workforce. Corruption and burden of government regulations also lowered Egypt rank.
