Sumitomo Electric Egypt to €22M open wiring harness manufacturing plant

Minister El-Khatib confirmed the plant’s grand opening is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.

Testing is scheduled to begin in April and work is expected to be completed by mid-2025.

They discussed cooperation in electricity, electrical interconnection, new and renewable energy, and the development and modernization of networks.

A substantial proportion of electricity is expected to be sourced from renewable resources, in line with both countries’ sustainability goals.

The Electricity Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Authority (EgyptERA) disclosed the updated rates for various consumption segments.
