09.12.2012 - 12.12.2012 | Cairo
Driving Egypt's refinery and petrochemical expansion through implementing latest technology innovations.
North Africa is currently expanding its refinery and petrochemical plants, in particular Egypt is planning to increase their exports and decrease their petroleum imports by 50%. Following the riots and civil unrest of Arab Springs in 2011, the region is not only heavily investing in repairing and upgrading existing plants but is also planning to build new plants.
The upcoming Refinery and Petrochemical Egypt Summit, taking place from 9-12 December 2012, in Cairo will be focusing on current challenges facing the North African downstream industry. The event will specifically focus on refinery and petrochemical investment, new and innovative technologies which can increase production rates and best-practice examples of how to switch from light oil to heavy oil refining.
