The Future of Egypt's Brownfield Development Convention will take place from the 11th till the 14th of May 2014.
Mature fields occur throughout the world. Today, there are an extensive number of fields that are late in their lives and others that have passed their production peak. Today’s new fields will eventually become mature fields.
Consequentially, this presents great technological challenges. Brownfield redevelopment is beneficial worldwide. As an industry, we need to address the proper requirements for applied technology to enhance underperforming fields and reach our vision of optimizing mature fields to become more useful and productive.
Objectives:
- Demonstrating the necessity of applying the concept of the revitalization of mature field.
- Providing cost effective technologies and applications in drilling, completion and production
Understanding and breaking the economic barriers of brownfields
- Predicting the distribution of remaining oil by improved reservoir management techniques
- Optimizing the method of existing production
- Providing new terms of agreement and regulations for more investments
