KIMA Signs Agreement with Al-Sharq Al-Haqiqi for Silico-Manganese Alloy Production

The agreement grants Al-Sharq Al-Haqiqi the rights to operate the furnace, owned by KIMA, which was rehabilitated at a cost of EGP53 million.

The plant is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of around 30,000 units within the next three years.

This milestone underscores the Egyptian government's broader strategy to localize the automotive industry, and attract foreign investment.

This initiative forms part of the government’s overarching strategy to localize production, and position Egypt as a regional industrial hub by 2027.

The factory will produce the Emgrand 2025 sedan and the Coolray 2025 SUV.
