Purchasing Manager For Michael Page Egypt
Manages and coordinates all aspects of the procurement of materials and/or services; oversees activities and operations of the purchasing department and staff.
Your main responsibilities are to:
- Develop and manage all aspects of the procurement of materials and/or supplies.
- Manage relationships with local customs authorities.
- Ensure compliance with government and appropriate corporate policies and procedures for purchasing/subcontract activities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to assure departmental effectiveness and compliance.
- Determine purchase requirements; generate and reschedule purchase orders for sourced goods.
- Prepare required reports, budgets, expenses and monitor inventory.
- Supervise purchasing department staff (3 people).
- Report to the Purchasing Director in Europe and to the Country Manager in Egypt.
Skills
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in related field (Purchase, sales...).
- Technical background would be a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in purchase responsibilities, ideally in manufacturing environment.
- Specific interest in previous multinational experience.
- Ability to interpret and negotiate contracts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- SAP Knowledge.
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
- Arabic & English mandatory.
