This position serves as a Technical/Development planning and reporting role within the Shell Egypt organization as part of the technical team in Egypt, supporting the business planning process, project economics, reserves estimation & reporting, plus review & evaluation of field development plans.
In particular, the job purposes are:
1) Supporting the SENV planning efforts with respect to the business plan and business reviews.
2) Maintain an overview of the reserves and hydrocarbon maturation portfolio.
3) Member of SENV / Bapetco technical & planning community
4) Support of Tech. Manager, Snr. Development Planner and Chief RE in technical and planning matters.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
1) Coordinate and deliver the ARPR (Annual Review of Petroleum Reserves) process.
2) Provide Technical support and consolidation of the information underpinning the SENV Business plan.
3) Generate Notional Dev. Plans for Expl. portfolio planning & for S4/DRB reviews.
4) Provide Dev. Planning & cost eng. support, providing scenarios/sensitivities and streamlined input to economists.
5) Coordinate Portfolio Planning & Dev. support w.r.t Expl./Opportunities & license extensions. (PODs, CRINs (PIN), PCNs).
6) Provide Portfolio Summaries as requested. (HCM, QBPRs, Asset Summaries, ...etc)
7) Assist in monitoring performance against the business plan.
8) Coordinator for the SENV element of the Corp.Calendar and for the Western Desert Leadership Team (WDLT) meetings.
Skills:
A professional with background in either petroleum engineering, geosciences, facilities engineering, finance, or commercial. Other disciplines will also be considered dependent upon the background and capabilities of the individual.
- Interpersonal skills and sensitivity to cultural differences are extremely important;
- Good analysis and all-round communication skills in an environment where influencing is key.
- Good Computer skills .
- Ability to effectively communicate across disciplines within the organization.
- Personal drive, ability to cope with high workload peaks, good at priority setting, self-starter, and willingness to work against tight deadlines;
- Skills in petroleum economics is a plus.
- Affinity and aptitude for planning related work activities.
