Job Description :
Revise and study project drawings, and determine, in coordination with Project Manager, relevant staffing needs to fulfill the design/shop-drawing related aspects of the project efficiently and effectively.
Compare the project’s HVAC and civil drawings to identify any gaps or conflicts, coordinate with Engineering Coordinator to tackle those issues.
Conduct frequent meetings with the project’s client/consultant to coordinate the project’s HVAC needs and requirements, solve any problems, or clarify technical issues.
Support and supervise Junior Shop Drawing engineers (in head office and on site) to provide technical assistance and/or review, verify, and check drawings, forms, and designs.
Prepare technical shop drawings, whenever required, on paper and digital format that respond to set technical specifications and quality standards, and conform to recognized procedures.
Liaise with projects’ sites teams to identify common inquiries, and send Request For Information (RFIs) for the project consultant, to seek clarification regarding technical specifications and requirements.
Qualifications :
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC design standards and codes.
Comprehensive knowledge of computer-aided design AUTO CAD & REVIT software and tools related to HVAC Department.
Knowledge of other software, such as: presentation & animation software and M.S. Office packages.
Comprehensive knowledge of local authorities and governmental regulations and codes.
Comprehensive knowledge of modern construction techniques and high tech. materials.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with persons at all levels.
Excellent analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to transfer knowledge to others in the design and preparation of drawings, specifications and estimates to use in the course of design.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.
Ability to motivate staff through proper direction and counseling.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization.
Ability to gather, analyze, evaluate facts, prepare and present concise oral and written reports
Talents in design and reading/understanding others designs.
Talents in technical decision making with wide vision design reading abilities.
Previous experience in quantity survey, technical office, and shop drawings is a must.
Revit experience is a must.
Previous experience of working design drawings is a plus.
Previous experience of working in large projects is a plus.
