Graphic Designer

We have an immediate opening for Senior Graphic Designer to support our university in their Marketing Department.
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating page layouts for multiple types of catalogs of varying lengths, space advertisements, and other materials.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Creating catalog layouts using Adobe In Design CS3 on a PC platform
• Creating space advertisements using Adobe In Design CS3
• Translating test ideas/concepts into new and innovative catalog treatments
• Creating a variety of graphics for websites using Photoshop CS3
Job Qualifications
• Be an expert in Adobe Photoshop CS3
• Be an expert in Adobe In Design CS3
• Have experience with Quark Xpress and Adobe Illustrator
• Have experience in preparing files for vendor printing
• Maintain a high degree of quality control
• Be able to simultaneously manage multiple long- and short-term projects from start to finish
• Understand standard industry proofreading marks
• Have experience creating book-length publications
• Have excellent organizational and time management skills
• Be able to multitask effectively
• Have a willingness to be flexible to project needs (working to deadline requirements)
• Be able to work as part of a team as well as individually
• Perform gracefully under pressure, meeting both inflexible and shifting deadlines
• Bachelor''s degree focusing on Graphic Design/Visual Communications 7+ years graphic design experience creating layouts in a high-volume magazine or catalog environment.
