Eng. Karim El Fateh assigned Intel Egypt Country Manager
Intel Egypt announced that Eng. Karim El Fateh has been assigned as the Intel Egypt country manager, where he will focus on making technology accessible to the different segments of Egyptian society by working closely with our ecosystem partners and making technology more accessible and affordable; and growing Intel's business in Egypt in the fields of consumer and education.
Karim El Fateh joined Intel in 2004 and has twenty years experience in business development and sales management in the Middle East region.
In his first role as Intel's Lead Business Development Manager for the Egypt, Levant and North Africa region, Karim successfully launched several key programmes and initiatives with governments, NGOs, and the IT community to increase technology awareness, implement new usage models and drive ICT adoption in rural areas.
Karim was a major contributor in Transforming Intel's relationship with the Egyptian government to a higher level by signing a memorandum of cooperation (MOC) in 2005 that outlines areas of cooperation and Collaboration between Intel and the Egyptian government represented by Ministry of ICT.
In his previous role at Intel as the Consumer Manager for Egypt, Karim led a team of professionals for collaborating with large retail, small retail & service providers for executing integrated campaigns for consumers. Karim's efforts contributed in growing Intel's presence in the consumer and retail market and increasing Intel Egypt's Core Mix to being the highest in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Before joining Intel, Karim held key management positions in several multinational companies such as Compaq Computers/hp and NCR/AT&T GIS.
El Fateh was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1968. He earned his Bachelor degree in 1991 from Cairo University, Egypt in Electrical and Communication Engineering and holds an MBA degree in the field of Globalization and International Business from the Maastricht School of Management.
