Samsung renews commitment to the 57357 Cancer Hospital during Ramadan
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. Egypt, a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics, inaugurated its third Ramadan football tournament on the 24th of July at the Arabella Country Club Playground in New Cairo. The tournament, which will run from the fifth to the twenty fifth day of Ramadan, will see 30 teams from Egyptian companies participating in the tournament to raise money to support for the Children’s Cancer Hospital - Egypt 75375. The tournament was launched with a spectacular firework show before the football matches kicked off.
“Samsung is constantly looking for ways to give back to the Egyptian community, and we are proud to say that we have a longstanding relationship and commitment to the 57375 Hospital, a commitment we will continue to uphold. Given the success we have had over the last two years, and the significant amounts of money we have been able to raise for the hospital in the past, it seemed natural that we would continue to host this tournament. On a more personal level, the tournament is a great opportunity for us at Samsung Egypt to interact more closely both with our colleagues and with other Egyptian companies.” said Duke Park, Samsung Egypt General Manager.
Last year Samsung hosted the same tournament, raising significant amounts of money that were put towards the purchase of much needed new medical equipment to the Children’s Cancer Hospital 57375 in Tanta.
