Egypt's mobile market saturated: GACIC
Egypt had about 94.23 million mobile phone users in April 2013, according to the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC). Labeling the Egyptian mobile phone market as “saturated”, GACIC announced a year-on-year growth of 2.37%, and a month-to-month rise of only 0.08% in the mobile market.
With 38.3 million customers, Vodafone leads the market, followed by Mobinil with 33.05 million and Etisalat Misr with 22.88 million.
About 12.1% of mobile users in Egypt access the internet through their mobile phone.
