State employees to get 10% raise
On Wednesday, Egypt’s cabinet granted a raise of 10% to state employees as part of a new law, according to CNN Arabic.
The raise will be added to the basic wages, and will not be subjected to taxes or additional fees.
Egypt’s State TV announced that the 10% will be “added to the basic salary for employees working since the 30th of June 2013 and will not be influenced by maximum or minimum wage questions starting July 2013.”
