Samsung launches Galaxy S5 in Egypt
Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy S5 to the Egyptian market in an event held at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza. The event gathered top Samsung officials and staff to witness the launch of the fifth generation of the Galaxy S series locally.
In addition to enhancing the flagship features of the Galaxy family, the S5 is equipped with features offered by Samsung for the first time, including the heartbeat sensor, which comes as part of the enhanced S Health 3.0 to offer more tools for monitoring personal fitness. The S Health 3.0 also comes with additional tools including a pedometer as well as diet and exercise monitoring apps.
The Galaxy S5 is designed to best cater to users’ need. It comes equipped with cutting-edge technologies that position it as the fastest smartphone available in terms of connectivity. To cope with the fast-paced everyday life, the Galaxy S5 supports the fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11ac for efficient, high-speed connectivity. Moreover, the Galaxy S5 introduces the 2X2 MIMO, which ensures maintaining the same high speed for downloading and uploading files simultaneously.

The S5 is full of firsts. Equipped with the Ultra Power Saving Mode, the S5 can function for a week without the need to charge it. It turns the display to a grey scale; supporting only phone calls and SMS while shutting down all unnecessary features to minimize the battery consumption.
Moreover, the camera of the S5 comes with several options and features that redefine the concept of taking photos using smartphones. With a 16 megapixel camera, the S5 offers an enhanced menu and user interface that allow consumers to effortlessly take, edit and share photos. Samsung made the camera more advanced with the world’s fastest autofocus speed; up to 0.3 seconds, and the High Dynamic Range (HDR) option which reproduces natural light and color to allow users to view the photo even before it’s taken.
