Egypt expected to be 2nd fastest growing economy
The Harvard Center for International Development released its 2027 growth projections report. The report ranked Egypt 2nd fastest growing expected to grow at 6.8% per year for the next 10 years.
First on the list was Uganda, while close behind Egypt was Myanmar, China and Vietnam whose rates ranged around 6%.
The ranking is based on the economic complexity of the countries ranked which focuses on sophisticated production of exports.
Egypt reached this ranking due to its complex range of specialized knowhow which includes a range of diverse expertise and inspires growth.
The economic complexity index put Egypt at 68th place, 2 ranks higher than last year. The progress came due to the increasing complexity of the Egyptian economy and diversification of production.
