Al Ahly Sabbour Developments and Baheya Foundation signed a cooperation protocol that aims at providing comprehensive, long-term financial and moral support for Baheya fighters, coinciding with the opening of the second phase of Baheya Hospital in Sheikh Zayed.

This phase expansion is dedicated to the early detection and free treatment of breast cancer. The signing of the cooperation protocol took place at Baheya Hospita's new Sheikh Zayed branch in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Sabbour, Chairman and Managing Director of Al Ahly Sabbour Developments, and Laila Salem, Board Member of Baheya Foundation and the granddaughter of Baheya, along with other prominent figures from the leadership teams of both parties.

Given the significance of Baheya’s role in serving over half a million women annually and delivering top-notch services that every Egyptian woman deserves throughout her treatment journey, Al Ahly Sabbour has pledged a donation of EGP 3.2 million to cover the construction expenses of two operation rooms at Baheya Sheikh Zayed Hospital. The first room will be under the name of Al Ahly Sabbour, while the second will be dedicated in memory of the late Eng. Hussein Sabbour.

Eng. Ahmed Sabbour, Chairman and Managing Director of Al Ahly Sabbour Developments, expressed profound pleasure and sincere gratitude for the opportunity extended to the company to contribute to enhancing the lives of breast cancer survivors across Egypt, stating that this collaboration with Baheya Foundation exemplifies a concerted alignment with the ongoing initiatives of the Egyptian government that aim at improving women's health. He added, “This cooperation extends beyond mere financial assistance for the establishment of operating rooms; rather, adopting a comprehensive approach that is based on offering tailored activities aims at empowering those battling with the disease psychologically and helping them turn their treatment journey into an inspiring experience that has a tangible social and economic impact, not only on them but also for the wider community."

For her part, Laila Salem, Board Member of Baheya Foundation and the granddaughter of Baheya, expressed her deepest gratitude and appreciation to Al Ahly Sabbour for their commitment to enhancing the overall well-being and health of Egyptian women and their decision to stand by Baheya, an organization dedicated to uplifting the health of all Egyptian women, raising awareness about early detection, and providing not only free treatment services but also all the needed psychological and moral support during their treatment journey.

It is worth mentioning that last March, Baheya Foundation for Early Detection and Treatment of Breast Cancer opened the second phase of Baheya Hospital in Sheikh Zayed, which included 14 accommodation rooms, two operation rooms, two intensive care units, recovery rooms, a chemotherapy unit, an emergency unit, and a clinical pharmacy. Al Ahly Sabbour Developments was the first developer to visit the Sheikh Zayed Hospital at its inception, showcasing its strong belief in the positive impact of social responsibility, particularly in supporting women and breast cancer fighters.
