"Buy Egyptian" - Who's joining on Friday?
After TV-moderator Amr Adeeb called for a national movement to support the Egyptian economy on Friday, several Egyptian companies decided to discount the prices of their products for that day.
“Buy Egyptian” is the first movement of its kind, urging Egyptians and residing foreigners to only buy locally manufactured products. The idea came after Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal ElGanzouri teared up while talking about the country’s economy in a press conference.
This is a list of companies that are joining the movement by offering discounts on Friday:
- Zahran for Household products: 10%
- AGA for Drinks and Frozen Vegetables: 10%
- Faragello: 10% (only in their Alexandria outlet)
- City Mall for Computers: 5%
- Oriental Weavers: 15% - 50%
- Mashaweer for Deliveries (Hotline: 19988): 25%
- Cottonil: Unspecified discount
- Domty: 10%
- Regina for Pasta: 5%
- Ceramica Royale: 10% - 50% (in all Mostafa Sallaab outlets)
- Hassan ElShennawy Furniture (Hadaeq ElQobba): 25%
- EgyptAir: 20% (for tickets till May 2012)
- Bridge for Housing (in Shorouk City): 5%
