Oriental Weavers Carpet sees $55.6mln block trading

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) announced a block trading deal worth EGP 1.37 billion on the shares of Oriental Weavers Carpet.

The transaction was executed on 163.74 million of the company's shares, according to a stock exchange filing on Sunday.

In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, the company recorded consolidated net profits of EGP 583.74 million, a decrease of 39.20% from EGP 960.24 million in the year-ago period.

On the other hand, sales grew to EGP 9.48 billion in the January-September 2022 period from EGP 8.39 billion in the corresponding period a year earlier.
