Thursday 5 October paid holiday for banks in Egypt on anniversary of October War victory

CBE said that banks operating in Egypt will be back to work on Sunday 8 October.

On 27 September, the Egyptian cabinet announced that this Thursday will be a paid holiday for public sector employees in light of the anniversary of the Armed Forces Day, which falls this year on Friday of the current week.

The country will celebrate on 6 October the 50th anniversary of its victory against Israel under the leadership of late President Anwar El-Sadat.
