Egyptian Investments in Africa Surpass USD 14 Billion
Egyptian investments across Africa have exceeded USD 14 billion, as revealed by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty during the Egypt-Gabon Business Forum held in Libreville, Gabon. The event brought together Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba, several key Gabonese ministers, and prominent Egyptian and Gabonese business leaders, aiming to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
Minister Abdelatty emphasised Egypt’s growing role in African development, attributing the success of these investments to the reliability and efficiency of Egyptian companies. He noted that this figure reflects Egypt’s commitment to fostering economic growth across the continent.
Abdelatty expressed that Egypt is ready to further contribute to Gabon’s development goals, particularly in infrastructure, energy, construction and agriculture. He highlighted that these sectors are priorities for Egypt’s expanding investment portfolio in Africa, with joint projects aimed at promoting sustainable development in Gabon.
