Automotive industry sales increased by 32% in December 2023: AMIC

Egypt's automotive industry sales increased by almost 32% during December 2023, according to a recent report published by the Automotive Marketing Information Council (AMIC).

 

The report highlighted that sales of various types of vehicles, including private cars, buses, and trucks reached a total of 10,415 vehicles. This marked the highest sales level achieved in the country throughout the year.

 

AMIC's report revealed that the overall car sales in Egypt experienced a significant decline of approximately 48 percent in 2023. The total number of cars sold during the year amounted to 69,175, a considerable drop from the 133,857 units sold in 2022. 

 

The AMIC report highlighted that the sales of private cars in December 2023 reached 8,372 units, reflecting a substantial increase of 52 percent compared to the 5,524 units sold in the same month of the previous year.
