Revolutionizing Desert Agriculture: The IDFRL Project Transforms Egypt's Arid Lands
In a monumental stride towards sustainable desert farming, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) have inaugurated the 'Integrated Desert Farming for Resilient Livelihoods' (IDFRL) project in Egypt. The initiative aims to rejuvenate the country's arid regions by establishing demonstration sites across five governorates, exhibiting eco-friendly agricultural practices that maximize productivity while minimizing environmental footprint.
