Sales of passenger cars rose by 97.6% in July: AMIC

According to the report, the total passenger cars market volume rose from 4,932 vehicles in July 2023 to 9,747 in July 2024.

The sales volume of completely knocked down (CKD) cars, which are vehicles delivered in parts and assembled at the destination, rose by 24.4 percent from 16,604 in YTD2023 to 20,662 in YTD2024.

Meanwhile, the sales of completely built units (CBU), which are vehicles delivered in one piece and do not need assembly, rose by 20.6 percent from 15,197 in YTD2023 to 18,321 in YTD2024.

Regarding the bus market, the total market volume increased by 13.6 percent from 566 units in July 2023 to 643 in July 2024.

The sales of CPD buses exhibited a 33.2 percent decrease in YTD2024 compared to YTD2023, whilst the CBU market showcased a 16 percent rise in YTD2024 compared to YTD2023.

Furthermore, the truck market volume increased by 27.2 percent from 797 units in July 2023 to 1,014 in July 2024.

The truck CKD market volume rose by 7.5 percent from 5,190 units in YTD2023 to 5,577 in YTD2024, while the CBU market declined by 32.9 percent descending from 1,601 to 1,074 units.
