European Commission approved to disburse €1 billion for Egypt

The EU’s decision follows Egypt’s fulfillment of policy commitments under the ongoing MFA and its efforts to unify its exchange rate.

Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania el Mashat announced that the European Commission (EC) approved to disburse a financing package for Egypt worth €1 billion under the ongoing discussions to approve the 4-billion-euro second tranche.


The EU’s decision follows Egypt’s fulfillment of policy commitments under the ongoing MFA and its efforts to unify its exchange rate and enhance social safety measures.
