Egypt envoy vows to boost Lebanon trade

BEIRUT: Egypt's charge d'affaires to Lebanon vowed Wednesday to facilitate visas for Lebanese businessmen, as he called for improved economic ties between the two countries.Mohammad Badreddine Zayed announced “nearly finalized steps to facilitate the issuance of [Egyptian] visas for Lebanese businessmen.”Egypt is willing to "make substantive concessions” with regards to visa procedures, he added during a press conference.According to the envoy, the move stems from Egypt’s insistence on advancing economic ties with Lebanon, given that Lebanon ranks the fourteenth highest foreign investor in Egypt.
