Egypt: Sisi, CBE Governor Review Efforts to Provide Foreign Exchange
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting on Saturday 20/6/2015 with Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hisham Ramez to discuss efforts exerted to provide foreign exchange.
Also, they discussed measures adopted to eliminate currency dealing on the black market, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
During the meeting, Ramez said that measures taken by the CBE on the exchange rate led to the increase of dollar supply with Egyptian banks. The foreign currency reserve hit $19.6 billion by the end of May, he said.
