"Manpower": Egypt out of International Labor Org. Blacklist
Hassan Shehata, the Egyptian Minister of Manpower announced that Egypt will not be included in the long list of observations issued Friday by the International Labor Organization of the United Nations.
The minister explained - in a press statement - that Egypt's absence from the "long list" that includes 40 countries this year means that it is not on the "short list" known in the media as the black list in the work file and presented to the International Labor Conference at its 111th session, which is being held in Geneva. The beginning of next June, with the participation of nearly 5,000 delegates from tripartite delegations "governments and representatives of employers and workers" of 187 member states of the organization.
He stressed that this measure on the part of the International Labor Organization means that the Egyptian state is moving in the right direction towards strengthening labor relations in all its legislation, decisions and services that protect and care for its workers despite the challenges that the whole world is going through, citing compliance with international labor standards, the most recent of which is on Labor Day, with measures that protect workers and provide them with a decent life.
